Call Me a Trekkie
Just on a wild hair, I looked into a couple of sites about Vulcans. Vulcans are a fictitious race of human like aliens on another planet way out there somewhere. They are big on Logic. Logic is in everything they do or think. Or so they claim. Spock was alway a very interesting character to me. He always tried to be logical even more that other Vulcans. I want down that rabbit hole to see what I could find. Do you want to know what I came up with?
Here it is!! In order to maintain logic in the way to think, act, react or respond to life and all that comes your way you must have a bedrock foundation of truth. It cannot be done any other way. Everything is in relation to truth. If you don’t do it that way you end up basing it on your own opinion and preferences. That would be like a builder hanging a plumb-line and pulling it in the direction he chooses rather than allowing gravity to correctly define what is plumb.
I think the hardest thing about living a life based on logic is that you have to first know that you are not the center of the universe. We cannot define plumb based on how we want it. Find truth. Find that bedrock that cannot be moved.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
That beats the fool out of what Spock would say!
